Stop Eating Your Clothes.

Microfibres more commonly known as polyester (fabric that you might be wearing right now) are poisoning our oceans. This project was aimed at highlighting this issue that is eventually making its way to our food supplies. The format this project ended up taking was the clothing that is first causing this issue. I created t-shirts to be sold in stores that both promote and educate about the issue. Hanger tags were also created to be hung with pre-existing clothing that is safe for our oceans. In order to inform further about the issue and what you can do to reduce the microfibre problem, I designed a booklet that educates the reader on steps to take to lower the risk of your clothing shedding the pollutants.

All pieces created during this project used natural materials, including cotton, cotton paper and natural thread for the bindings.
